APM is the largest independent professional body of its kind in Europe and exists to develop and promote project management across all sectors of industry and beyond. Our original remit of helping align internal teams and review the organisation's digital strategy expanded rapidly into a complete rebuild of their web presence and the introduction of an internal community.
With a rapidly growing member base, APM needed to review its web presence and, at the same time, implement tight links between user data online and within its Integra membership management system. Our initial consultancy engagement delivered our core Digital Strategy workshop process, helping with internal alignment, persona development and content and engagement strategy.
Following the completion of the consultancy work, we were then appointed to deliver APM's technical implementation project using the Drupal open source framework. As well as delivering our Good Practice community functionality, we also built a highly bespoke membership application and payment process, guiding potential APM members through a series of evaluation criteria before recommending the relevant level of membership.
Most membership bodies also produce a printed magazine, and as part of our overall engagement we helped APM set out criteria for the appoinment of a new contract publisher and lead consultant Peter Furtado assisted with the review and selection process.
